Google Analytics GA4 Now Shows Real-Time Users in the Last 5 Minutes

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Google Analytics GA4 has been updated to show the number of users in the last 5 minutes in its real-time reports. Previously, GA4 only showed users over the past 30 minutes. Now, you can see both metrics: users in the last 5 minutes and users in the last 30 minutes.

This change aligns GA4 with the old Universal Analytics tool, which also displayed real-time metrics for the last 5 minutes.

What to Expect:

When you look at your real-time reports in GA4, you’ll now see two metrics displayed on the chart:

  • Users in the last 5 minutes
  • Users in the last 30 minutes

Why This Matters:

This update makes it easier to see how many users are currently on your website, providing a more immediate view of your site’s activity. Now, real-time metrics are even more engaging and useful to watch.
